How Poshmark seller fees work (as of Oct 2026)
Poshmark has one of the simplest fee structures of any resale marketplace, with a single fee on every sale:
- Sales under $15: a flat $2.95.
- Sales of $15 or more: 20% of the sale price.
That one fee covers payment processing, the platform’s seller protection and the prepaid shipping label service. There is no separate processing charge.
What the fee is charged on
The fee is calculated on the item’s sale price only. The buyer pays shipping and any sales tax separately, at checkout. The buyer’s shipping payment pays for the prepaid Posh label (for packages up to 5 lb), so it never reaches your balance, and neither does the tax. That’s why the calculator leaves both out of your payout by default.
The $15 cliff
Because the fee jumps from a flat $2.95 to 20% at exactly $15, some prices just above the line earn you less than a price just below it. A $14.99 sale pays $2.95 and you keep $12.04. A $15.00 sale pays $3.00 and you keep $12.00. You need to price at about $15.05 or more to come out ahead of $14.99. Below $15, the flat fee hits small sales hard: a $5 sale loses 59% to the fee.
Shipping costs that come out of your pocket
The buyer usually covers the standard label, but you pay in two situations:
- Shipping discounts you offer, such as reduced or free shipping on an offer or bundle. The discount comes out of your earnings.
- Overweight upgrades. Packages over 5 lb need an upgraded label, reported at about $5 more for 5–10 lb and $10 more for 10–15 lb.
Put those amounts in “Extra shipping you cover” to see your real profit.
A note on accuracy
This structure has been in place since October 24, 2024, when Poshmark ended its buyer-fee experiment, and we found no commission change in 2025 or 2026. Poshmark’s fee help page is rendered with JavaScript, so we confirmed the rates from its official summary and consistent third-party sources rather than reading the page directly. Check Poshmark’s own help center before you rely on any number for pricing.
The calculator also shows profit and margin after your item cost, which is the number that tells you whether a $15 sourcing find was worth it.
